Does the thermostatic head need batteries to work?
Classic thermostatic heads do not need any batteries. on the other hand, electronic thermostatic heads need batteries to close and open the circuit through an electric motor. These thick ones are recognizable by their size and because they have electronic components such as LEDs, displays, etc...
I need to replace an old cast iron radiator. How do I get a list of your radiators that might be compatible with the existing connections?
Existing connections in vertical position: TESI + Vertical Furnishing Radiators. The datasheets of the radiators show a column labeled "Center distance (mm)." The Centerline should be similar to the size of the existing connections. Existing connections in horizontal position: TESI + Vertical Furnishing Radiators. The data sheets of the radiators show a column called "Width (mm)." Radiator width + valve spacing must be similar to the measurement of existing connections.
What is the valve at the top of my radiator for?
Each radiator, connected to a boiler or a heat pump, is equipped with a vent valve always located at the highest part of the heating body. This element is used to remove any air formed inside the heating system and the radiator itself. To see how to do this look at the guide how to vent a radiator at this link: https://www.irsap.com/en/support-en/irsap-consiglia-3/2096-how-to-vent-radiators
What RAL does the IRSAP color code xx correspond to ?
Code xx does not match the international RAL table. It is a powder mixture assembled to our specification.
Which radiator is suitable for mixed operation ?
Most IRSAP bathroom radiators are suitable for mixed operation. The Data Sheet of models compatible with mixed operation shows a column labeled" Mixed Operation (watts)" in which the power of the electrical resitence to be matched to that specific model is entered. Bathroom radiators that do not carry this indication are not suitable for mixed operation.
What is mixed operation of a radiator?
It is the combined hydraulic + electrical operation of the bathroom heater. When installing the Bath Radiator, the plumber inserts an electric resistance for mixed operation of adequate power into one of the vertex manifolds of the heating body. When the heat generator upstream of the system is not in operation, the Bathroom Radiator can be heated independently by the electric resistance.
Does the electric heating element for mixed operation increase the output of the bathroom radiator ?
No, electric heater operation is alternative to hydraulic operation. When the electric resistance is on, the radiator valve must be be completely closed. A flow of water through the radiator must be prevented so that the power of the electric resistance is fully dedicated to this heating body only.
Can TESI Radiators operate in a one pipe system ?
Yes, they can.
